I wanted to share some exciting news for our olive oil producers and enthusiasts. The 2nd Annual USI Olive Oil Competition is happening the week of May 30, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be a significant event in the EVOO world.

What’s Unique About This Competition?

Unlike traditional competitions judged by sommeliers or chefs, the USI Olive Oil Competition is evaluated by real trade buyers—importers, distributors, retailers, and restaurateurs from across the United States. These professionals judge the oils blindly, considering both category and price point, simulating real-market purchasing decisions. This approach offers producers valuable insights into how their products are perceived in the marketplace.

Who Can Participate?

The competition is open to all commercially produced olive oils worldwide. Your product doesn’t need to be sold in the U.S. to enter. This inclusivity allows international producers to gain exposure in one of the world’s largest olive oil markets.

  • Industry Exposure: Top winners will be featured on the Olive Oil Professor and its sister sites, reaching over 220,000 unique visitors monthly.
