Been wondering about this after cleaning out my pantry yesterday.
Found a bottle I opened six months ago. Smelled like horrible. Had to toss it. They use to always say 3 months max after you open it then it starts going downhill. Made sense because air gets in and the oil breaks down. I see people with these big bottles and I know they’re not going through them that fast. Maybe it’s fine, maybe not. Just curious what everyone else does.
If you’ve had yours sitting around for a while, might be worth smelling it. Fresh EVOO should smell grassy and clean, not like nothing or like crayons. jane
